Logan Banks
Born and raised in Aurora, Colorado, Logan started The Mile High Nomad Group in October 2025 after nearly seven years in the trenches at growth-stage companies across B2B marketplaces, Fortune 500 aviation, and pet insurtech. He started in 2019 as a Sales Operations Intern and worked his way up to Senior Data Engineer, watching the same story play out at every stop: teams drowning in data they couldn't trust, waiting months for insights their business needed yesterday. MHNG is his answer to that. Small, senior, and hands-on.
Motivation
His work ethic and drive are rooted in his faith. Logan sees the pattern recognition and technical instincts that make him effective in this industry as gifts from the Lord, and he's determined to use them for God's divine purpose.

Education
Logan's drive for education started early. In high school he was both an International Baccalaureate Diploma graduate and an AP Scholar. He put that same drive to work in college, graduating from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management in 2020 with a major in Management Information Systems and a minor in Business Analytics. He finished the four-year program in three. Per US News, the MIS program is currently ranked #6 in the country, and Carlson overall is ranked #19 among undergraduate business schools nationally.

- 1,000+ model dbt warehouse designed from scratch, processing over 2.5 billion rows per day across 35+ sources in a multi-layer Medallion architecture
- 95%+ reduction in data incidents through automated freshness gates, tests, and Slack-based observability
- Zero-finding carrier audits delivered for 2 insurance carriers via audit-ready Tableau and Hex dashboards with bordereaux, GWP, and OFAC screening
Stack & certifications
Primary stack: Snowflake, PostgreSQL, dbt, Python, and Kubernetes. Additional production experience across Databricks, Redshift, AWS, Azure, Airflow, Fivetran, Airbyte, Segment, Looker (LookML), Tableau, Hex, Power BI, Metabase, and the full GitLab CI/CD and GitHub Actions ecosystem.
Logan is dbt Fundamentals certified, completed a full-stack web and mobile development program through NuCamp, and is currently pursuing the Databricks Data Engineer Associate certification. MHNG as a firm is also pursuing SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001:2022, and HIPAA compliance to enable regulated-data work in healthcare, financial services, and insurance.
Where the name comes from
The name Mile High Nomad Group is a tribute to both where Logan comes from and where he believes he's called to go. Mile High honors his roots in Aurora, Colorado, and the loyalty he feels to the place that shaped him. Nomad reflects his passion for travel and his desire to see all of God's creation, and echoes the Great Commission itself: the call to go and make disciples of all nations.

Off the clock
Logan grew up playing baseball, and the Colorado Rockies have been his team ever since. Even though the data very clearly doesn't support it, he believes one day they'll win it all. One of his lifelong missions is to visit every Major League ballpark in the country.
He also cheers on (heavily) the Denver Broncos, the Colorado Avalanche, and the Denver Nuggets.
When he isn't writing code, you'll find him cooking, working out, playing pickleball, running with his run club, at church, at a concert, at a networking event, hanging with friends and family, or booking a flight to somewhere he's never been.
